Lawrence’s ability and Music Degree lead to a career as a guitar teacher. Both adults and children learn guitar from Mr. Paul. Lawrence teaches guitar at St. Finn Barr Elementary School, Sunset Music and his Home Studio in the Sunset District. Piano lessons are given on a weekly basis, consisting of a balance of solo performance and musical language skills, instructing the student not only learn to read, write and recite music, but also to learn to speak the language of music, nurturing the ability to improvise and perform in ensemble situations with other musicians. Both classical and jazz gendres are taught using a variety of methods including the original text, “Wow, I Have Ten Fingers!”.
